A “public input” meeting on the proposed widening of Abbotts Bridge Road in Johns Creek has been set for Tuesday, Sept. 25, by the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The hearing is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at the Johns Creek Municipal Court, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway, according to an announcement by the city.

Abbotts Bridge (Ga. 120) is to be widened to four lanes from two from Medlock Bridge Road (Ga. 141) to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, officials said.

An existing bridge over the Chattahoochee River will be replaced with a new bridge, and sidewalks will be added on both sides of the roadway, as part of the 2.5-mile project.
