Tosha Herron has been missing since October.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has joined in the search for a missing Gwinnett County woman.

The mother of three's car was found wrecked off Blood Mountain in Lumpkin County. She was last seen headed toward Blue Ridge.

Until GBI joined the investigation Friday, Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office investigators have handled the case, said Nelly Miles, public affairs director for GBI.

Herron's father and sister spoke to Channel 2 Action News on Monday as they handed out missing person fliers at the Mall of Georgia.

Family members told Channel 2 they are pleased with what county authorities have done, but welcome any help.

“I think they are going to have a lot more resources available to focus on the case and just dig deeper into some things,” said sister Stacie Nelson.

Herron has been missing for over 45 days.

“We as a family truly believe, in our hearts, that she was taken by somebody from that mountain and from there, only God knows,” said Reed. “I keep reminding myself that 45 days is tough on us, but what about her 45 days?”
