A natural gas leak forced the evacuation of some buildings on the campus of Life University in Marietta late Thursday morning.

A gas line was punctured about 9:30 a.m., Cobb County fire dispatchers said.

Dispatchers told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that two buildings adjacent to the leak were evacuated.

Channel 2 Action News reported at noon that the leak had just been capped, and that students were expected to return to classes shortly.
