There will soon be a new place in Fulton County to get a Pub Sub — that’s “Publix Sub” for the Kroger-only folks.

The city of South Fulton announced that Publix is building a store on Campbellton Road in Sandtown Crossing, near Camp Creek Parkway and Riverside Road.

Brenda Reid, local spokeswoman for Florida-based Southern grocery giant Publix, said the store would be 48,000 square feet.

Reid said that’s a standard-size store and that it will feature a drive-through pharmacy.

She said there’s no opening date because construction hasn’t begun, which usually takes about 10 months.

The city said in a news release that Sandtown Crossing currently has a CVS in addition to 15,000 square feet of retail space and 18,000 square feet of office space.
