The Friends of the Peachtree City Library are seeking entries for their Third Annual Poetry Contest:. This year’s theme is “Our World, Our Community.” Cash prizes of $100 will be awarded in three categories: public, private, parochial, or home-school students enrolled in grades 1—6 (Category 1) ; grades 7—12 (Category 2); and adults (age 18 or older and not still enrolled in school grades 1—12) (Category 3). Winning poems and poems receiving an honorable mention will be published by the Friends. Entrants whose poems are published will receive a free copy of the book. There is a $10 entry fee for up to three poems, each no more than three pages. Entrants must live in Fayette, Spalding, Lamar, Zebulon, Jackson, Forsythe or Coweta. Entries will be accepted beginning Wednesday and ending by 5 p.m. March 1.
