Basketball Tuesdays might be a new thing for the Atlanta community.

Caring For Others, a local nonprofit, is encouraging parents to bring their kids out for their free summer basketball program. With no registration or fee required, kids can just show up, enjoy some snacks and have fun, organizers said.

Eslene Richmond-Shockley, president and CEO of Caring For Others, explained the program provides a safe place to have fun and lets kids know people care about them.

The program will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday until July 17 at 3537 Browns Mill Rd., Atlanta, Ga., 30354.
