Bad news: The fake snow is getting pushed out by actual precipitation.

There was supposed to be snow tubing in downtown Kennesaw for the annual “A Day With Santa” parade Saturday, but the festivities have been pushed inside due to heavy forecasted rains.

City spokeswoman Becca Graham said they couldn’t have the snow tubing because the product melts in rain.

The event will happen inside the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, from noon to 4 p.m.

There will still be chances to get photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus along with crafts for children and live entertainment.

Graham said the snow tubing will be rescheduled, but a date hasn’t yet been set.

The rain also caused organizers of the Mableton Tree Lighting and Candy Cane Hunt to postpone the event a week from this Saturday to Dec. 9.
