The last appointments April 3-5 may go fast for the Cherokee County Animal Shelter free microchipping clinic for dogs.
The clinic, offered over two weeks at the end of March and the beginning of April, is by appointment only at the shelter, 1015 Univeter Road, Canton, according to the shelter's Facebook page. As of Sunday, no slots were left for the week of March 26-29 and for April 1 and 2, the online appointment book indicated.
Pre-registration paperwork must be completed before the appointment; each pet must have a separate appointment; owners must show proof of residency; and pets must come leashed or in a secure carrier, officials said. The offer is not available to prior no-shows, breeders, rescue groups or other pet businesses. To make an appointment: https://bit.ly/2USdyyX
