Free Georgia lottery ticket nets Riverdale man $305K prize
A Riverdale man has won $305,429 in the Georgia Lottery after matching all winning numbers in the June 18 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Walter Woods, 50, of Riverdale, won the jackpot using a free ticket he had won in a previous Fantasy 5 drawing.
He bought his lucky Quik Pik ticket from Chevron Food Mart, 6455 Highway 85 in Riverdale.
Woods claimed his prize Tuesday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
“I woke up this morning and saw the winning numbers on the news,” he said. “I shouted out.”
Woods, who works in security and in lawn care, said he anticipates buying a new home and taking care of his three children.
Winning numbers from the June 18 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 14-15-18-32-36.
