Candidates for Johns Creek City Council and Fulton County school board will participate in a forum Thursday evening at Johns Creek High School.

The event, sponsored by the Johns Creek High School PTSA, begins at 6 p.m. with an informal meet and greet.

The forum for the vacant Post 5 city council seat begins at 6:30 p.m. All five candidates have confirmed they will attend. Likewise, all three candidates for the District 5 school board seat have committed. That forum begins at 7:30 p.m.

"Voter turnout in Johns Creek is usually quite low," said Sharyl Dawes, PTSA legislative chairwoman. "This forum will provide ‘one-stop shopping' for voters to meet candidates, hear local issues specific to Johns Creek and pick up literature for other candidates on the Nov 2 ballot."
