For the fifth consecutive year, Forsyth County high schools posted the highest ACT score of county and large school districts in Georgia, with a composite score of 24.5, district officials announced.

Forsyth’s five high schools reported scores in the top 55 of 443 high schools in Georgia, and all five surpassed the average composite scores for the state (21.4) and nation (20.7), officials said. The ACT tests students in four subject areas — English, mathematics, reading and science — and scores them on a scale of 1-36.

A total of 2,097 Forsyth students took the ACT test this year, up from 1,972 in 2018. The county's composite score of 24.5 was the same as last year's. Information: https://bit.ly/2BYULtX

“Overall, we had more students take the ACT and maintained our composite score with this increase,” said Forsyth Superintendent Jeff Bearden. “Improving the academic, social and emotional opportunities for our children is a community focus.”
