Forsyth County parents and students are invited to a couple of informational nights to learn more about the Alliance Academy for Innovation High School opening in August 2018.

It’s planned as an alternative college and career high school with five themed academies focusing on career and workforce development in several high-demand areas: aerospace and logistics, criminal justice, health care and first responders, hospitality and design and mechatronics and energy. Construction of the campus is well underway on Lanier 400 Parkway in Cumming. It will also be a training and development center for business and industry at night.

The upcoming informational sessions are set for 6:30-7:30 p.m.Thursday at the South Forsyth High School cafeteria, 585 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming and 6:30-7:30 p.m. May 11 at the Forsyth Central High School cafeteria, 131 Almon C. Hill Drive, Cumming.
