Keep Forsyth County Beautiful will lead a “Great FoCo Cleanup” in March to remove litter from county roadways as part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.
The cleanup is scheduled to start with a brief rally at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Central Park Recreation Center, 2300 Keith Bridge Road.
Volunteers, individually or in teams, will then head out to clean roadways before returning to the recreation center “for food and fun,” according to a county announcement. Volunteers with pickup trucks are sought to help collect the trash from various locations.
“This event is a fantastic opportunity for residents, community organizations, families, businesses or clubs to really make a positive impact on our community,” said Tammy Wright, Forsyth environmental program manager.
Participants are asked to pre-register to receive detailed information by visiting KeepForsythCountyBeautiful.org, emailing KFCB@forsythco.com or calling 770-205-4573.
