The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has set a public hearing for Thursday, May 16, on a possible extension until August of a moratorium on accepting Res2 Conservation District rezoning applications.
The hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Suite 220, of the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.
Commissioners on April 18 adopted an emergency, temporary moratorium on Res2 Conservation rezoning applications, according to a proposed county resolution.
Extending the moratorium to Aug. 16 would give the county time to draft amended criteria and performance standards for that zoning classification under the Unified Development Code, the resolution says. Information: https://bit.ly/2GQk6Ix
