Forsyth County Senior Services is asking residents to help brighten the holiday season for senior citizens by participating in the 2010 Holiday Gift Angel Program.

Gift request tags from senior citizens are available at the Senior Center at Charles Place, located at 595 Dahlonega Highway next to the Cumming Library. Each tag contains the name of a local senior citizen as well as a gift idea.

Program participants may deliver the boxed and unwrapped gift with the request tag attached to the Forsyth County Senior Center at Charles Place before Dec. 7. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

“I have seen in past years how our senior citizens light up when they are presented a gift from the Holiday Gift Angels Program because they know someone in the community thought about them,” Senior Services Director Shelley Johnson said.
