The public can weigh in on a proposed ordinance that would regulate spa and massage businesses in Forsyth County next month. A public hearing’s set for 5 p.m. Nov 5 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.

The measure would require spa and massage businesses to file for a license and pay an annual fee. It also requires workers to have licenses and work permits unless they’re already licensed massage therapists in the state of Georgia.

The proposal also sets regulations on hours of operation, lighting and clothing worn by workers, with a view to limiting the possibility that such businesses could offer sex.
