Forsyth County motorists can expect occasional traffic disruptions starting Sunday, Nov. 18, as preparations begin for the construction of a roundabout at Settingdown and Martin roads near Coal Mountain.
An existing four-way stop will be shifted to a temporary location to accommodate the roundabout work, officials said. Settingdown and Martin will be closed intermittently, and traffic will be routed onto a gravel surface, while the intersection is moved.
Signage will be placed on Settingdown and Martin from Nov. 18 to Nov. 25 to alert the public of the traffic pattern change. The roads are expected to reopen with the new traffic pattern on Monday, Nov. 26, weather permitting.
Vehicles will be routed through the temporary four-way stop until the new roundabout is ready for traffic.
