Forsyth County was honored with the Community Improvement and Greening Award during the 36th annual Keep Georgia Beautiful awards luncheon. The award announced in December was presented to the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners late last week.
Forsyth County was the only Georgia government honored in that category. The award recognizes the county’s efforts such as improvements to public areas, green space, community gardens, bike paths and walkways as well as outdoor environmental education and community outreach.
