Forsyth County has hired a finalist for the 2015 Georgia Chief Information Officer of the Year award as its new CIO to manage and administer the county’s information technology operations.

Brandon Kenney will lead the county’s Information Systems & Technology Development. The office handles electronics systems development and operations, telecommunications, technical services and electronic records retention and management.

Kenney has IT experience in the retail, hospitality and automotive industries. Since 2009, he was vice president of information technology and CIO for Herschend Family Entertainment Corp., Norcross.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Systems Management from the University of South Alabama and an MBA from Georgia Tech.
