The Forsyth County and Greater North Fulton chambers of commerce will jointly hold a series of virtual hiring events in the coming weeks, with a “Manufacturing Virtual Job Fair” set for Friday.
The events seek to connect people who have been laid off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and industries still operating and hiring, organizers said.
"At each online event, representatives from local employers will briefly discuss open positions, qualifications, and how to apply," according to a Forsyth Chamber announcement. "Attendees will also be able to participate in a break-out session with employers to ask questions about their company and specific opportunities."
The virtual job fairs will run from noon to 2 p.m. on selected Fridays. Other job fairs are health care, May 22; hospitality, May 29; technology, June 5; and construction, June 12. There is no cost for job seekers or employers to participate. Information, and to register: https://www.focochamber.org/
Employers seeking to participate can contact Beth Harris, bharris@focochamber.org
