Through Friday, the Forsyth County Schools – temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak – will offer free meal pick-up service for all public and private school students in the county, preschool to 18 years (21 for special needs students).

Students must be present with an adult during the pickup, according to a district announcement. Two free meals, lunch for one day and breakfast for the next, will be available at drive-throughs at Sawnee Elementary School, 1616 Canton Highway, and Whitlow Elementary School, 3655 Castleberry Road, both in Cumming.

"If you would like to assist others in our community in regards to COVID-19, please make food donations to The Place of Forsyth County and financial donations to United Way of Forsyth County at www.unitedwayforsyth.com/donatenow," the district said. "A needs list, which also includes an Amazon ordering option, and drop-off address are posted at https://www.theplaceofforsyth.org/"
