Forsyth Country government planners are looking to help North Forsyth residents get healthier.

They’re working on what they call a “subarea” plan that would interconnect trails and paths across the area to support increased walkability and more bike travel. Plans being weighed would link neighborhoods, parks and schools, county government facilities and shopping centers and other commercial areas across the region. Residents are also being asked to comment about the use of the Big Creek Greenway.

Two community workshops to gather input are planned from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Central Park Recreation Center, 2300 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming and Oct. 13 at the Coal Mountain Community Park Building , 3560 Settingdown Road, Cumming.

A public meeting’s also set 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.
