The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recently adopted a new logo and tag line, “Your Community, Your Future.”
Commission Chairman R.J. “Pete” Amos said the new brands are meant to showcase such county natural resources as its parks and Lake Lanier, while calling attention to its status as a family-friendly community.
Both resulted from a branding initiative undertaken to refresh the county’s logo and materials. The process included an online survey conducted in 2014. The resulting logo captures assets identified in the survey, such as Sawnee Mountain and Lake Lanier. It also includes 1832, the year the county was incorporated.
The new logo will be phased in over time on county materials, beginning with the county’s website and Facebook page.
