The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will set its structure for 2015 at its meeting 5 p.m. Thursday at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E Main St., Cumming.

The five-member governing body will select a chair, vice-chair and secretary and will consider adoption of rules and procedures. District One Commissioner R.J. (Pete) Amos is current commission chair.

The board will also consider the purchase of security equipment for the new jail and courthouse. The proposal calls for acquisition of five each of metal detector units and x-ray screening units plus one loading dock pallet screener. Both facilities are set for an early 2015 opening.
