The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners elected officers for 2015 at their meeting Thursday night with no changes. District 1 Commissioner R.J. “Pete” Amos was re-elected chairman, Cindy Jones Mills of District 4 was re-elected vice chairman and Brian Tam of District 2 was voted in as secretary.

Commissioners voted unanimously to revoke the alcohol license for AJ Energy 6, operator of a BP gas station at 1385 McFarland Parkway. They also demanded that licensee Ayad Jaber appear before the commission to explain why his license for 901 Buford Highway shouldn’t be revoked as well. The McFarland location has been cited several times in the past four years for violations including underage sales and employee drinking on premises.

The board also awarded a $191,00 contract to Rapiscan Systems for metal detection/public screening and loading dock pallet scanning equipment for the new courthouse and jail, which is set to finish in 2015.
