The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has located and arrested a hit-and-run suspect linked to a serious crash.

Officers said a woman was walking along Canton Highway also known as Georgia 20 near Tower Road between 5:15 and 5:45 a.m. Sunday when she was struck, seriously injured and thrown into a ditch. The woman was said to have been walking completely off the roadway when she was hit and was found only after a passerby spotted her dog.

Authorities were looking for a blue 2003-2006 Nissan Sentra, missing its passenger side mirror, fog light and headlight lens. The driver was identified as Stephanie Anderson, 28, of Cumming. Anderson faces felony hit-and-run, failure to render aid and other charges.
