The City of Forest Park has recently upgraded its emergency notification system. The city is now using CODERED Emergency Notification System and it is an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications and the distribution of information considered to be important.
This system allows officials to telephone all or targeted areas of the city to send critical communications, from evacuation notices to missing child alerts. This system is capable of dialing the entire city within minutes.
It then delivers a pre-recorded message describing the situations to a live person or an answering machine in the affected area, possibly including instructions requiring immediate action on the part of the recipient.
Resident and/or property owners within the incorporated limits of the city of Forest Park can sign up for CODERED emergency messages at you may signup at www.forestparkga.org/codered.aspx
It is important to sign up for the alerts, you must use your physical Forest Park address. Do not use post office boxes or out-of-town addressed.
