Expect a warm and sometimes sunny day Monday with a growing chance of rain through the day and throughout the week, forecasters said.
Look for “times of clouds and times of sun … hazy with a 30-percent chance of rain,” WSB News/Talk Radio chief meteorologist Kirk Mellish reports.
Temperatures will reach the low- to mid-80s by day’s end, but the possibility of rain is expected to increase as July 4th nears.
“It starts Wednesday through Friday when our really rainy period comes in,” WSB TV meteorologist Karen Minton said. “We could be looking at some significant amounts of rain … and yes, on the fourth of July.”
Morning temperatures Monday were recorded in the upper-60s, and highs are predicted in the 80s through the week.
