Two people were injured in a fire at a DeKalb County apartment complex Tuesday afternoon, Channel 2 Action News reported.

As flames ripped through the building on Tiburon Court in Stonecrest, firefighters also rescued a furry woodland critter.

“This little squirrel was so thrilled to be rescued from the apartment fire, he even allowed the DeKalb County Firefighters to give him a bath,” the fire department wrote in a tweet.

Photos show the firefighters shooting water on the flames from above. The blaze led to extensive damage to the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
