The owner of a lingerie store has been charged by federal authorities with trying to bribe city of Doraville officials to get his property rezoned.

Jae Jun Bae, who owns Moon Lingerie, was arrested by FBI agents last week and has since been released on $10,000 bond.

Bae became ensnared in an undercover sting operation after a city official he had previously tried to bribe went to law enforcement authorities in October, FBI Special Agent Christy Parker alleged in a Nov. 15 affidavit.

In October, Bae had a series of meetings with an unnamed Doraville city employee and an FBI agent posing as a city employee, Parker wrote. Bae initially agreed to pay $100,000 to have his Buford Highway property rezoned and later negotiated that figure down to $76,000, the agent said.

He was arrested on Nov. 14 after allegedly making one $5,000 payment and another $3,000 payment, Parker said.
