Following a nationwide search, the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has chosen Carlotta Ungaro to be its new president and CEO.
Ungaro served as the president of the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce near Raleigh, N.C. from From 2011 to 2014. A native of Ellaville, she has degrees from Georgia Southwestern State University and Georgia State University. She previously worked as vice president of government affairs for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and held positions with the Metro Augusta Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
Michael Burnett, who led Fayette’s search committee, said that Ungaro’s background and experience “will help continue to position Fayette County as an important player in regional and state economic development.”
