Fayette County is accepting applications for unpaid summer internships open to rising high school juniors and seniors. The positions offer work-based experience with guided supervision and run July 6-Aug. 3.

Internships are available in the departments of animal control, library, E911 communication, environmental management, building permits and inspection, and fire/EMS. Students must live in the county and have parental consent; recommendation letters from school officials are also helpful.

Applications are at www.fayettecountyga.gov and are due June 1.
