Peachtree City’s Lake McIntosh reservoir will be the site of Fayette County’s next aquatic cleanup project. The county is seeking volunteers with kayaks or canoes to join its Water Guardians program to pick up trash in and around the lake on April 8. The group will meet at 8 a.m. at the boat dock off TDK Boulevard and continue until 11 a.m.

Volunteers will be provided with trash grabbers, bags and bottled water, and must complete a liability waiver. Those who register by April 1 will receive a free T-shirt. All volunteers will get lunch afterwards.

Information and registration: waterguardians@fayettecountyga.gov.
