The Fayette County Board of Education began its 2019 agenda on Jan. 7 by selecting new leadership and adopting its meeting schedule for the year.
Former vice chair Scott Hollowell was elected chair, replacing Barry Marchman. Newly elected board member Roy Rabold was named vice chair.
The board will meet twice a month, with a work session at 2 p.m. on the first or second Monday and a voting meeting at 7 p.m. on the third or fourth Monday; July’s only meeting will be on the 15th.
Meetings will continue to be held at 210 Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville until the new offices at the LaFayette Educational Center are completed, possibly in February. Schedules, agendas and minutes are posted under the Board of Ed tab at www.fcboe.org.
Meetings are not currently broadcast live, but podcasts are available at https://www.fcboe.org/Page/167.
