Now that the administrative offices of Fayette County Public Schools have been moved from their previous Stonewall Avenue location to the LaFayette Educational Center, school board meetings are also switching locations.
Starting Feb. 25, board meetings and work sessions will be held in the boardroom of Building A of the complex, at 205 LaFayette Ave. in Fayetteville, near Fayette County High School. Meeting times will remain the same, and the 2019 schedule is posted under the Board of Ed tab at www.fcboe.org.
The Stonewall Avenue building has been purchased by the city of Fayetteville and will be torn down to make way for a new city hall. The LEC has been undergoing extensive renovations to create new office space for the school system.
