Applications for two open seats on the Fayette County Planning Commission are due by Dec. 28.

The five-member body meets at 7 p.m. twice monthly in Fayetteville to hear and make recommendations regarding zoning ordinance amendments, including rezoning and issues related to the county’s comprehensive plan. The commission also approves plats and hears variance requests concerning subdivision and floodplain regulations and watershed protections. Members must be Fayette residents and cannot hold any other public office except for the Zoning Board of Appeals; they are paid $75 per meeting.

The two open terms begin Jan. 1 and expire Dec. 31, 2021.
