Fayette County has approved a bid to complete the next phase of the Veterans Parkway Roadway Project. The Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 on May 25 to accept an $895,000 bid from Southeastern Site Development Inc., to connect the parkway to Ga. Hwy. 92 at Westbridge Road.
Carlos Christian, head of Fayette’s Building Grounds & Maintenance, told the commissioners that the plans had been redesigned about 10 times to reach mutually acceptable terms between the county and the state to minimize costs and the impact on affected property owners.
Construction will take approximately nine months to complete.
