The Fayette County Board of Commissioners has approved two new volunteer members to serve on local advisory boards.
The board voted 5-0 Thursday to select Martin Sas for the Fayette County Transportation Committee, which identifies and provides recommendations regarding traffic problems, goals and projects, and communicates with state and regional authorities. His term will expire on March 31, 2017.
The commissioners voted 3-2 to appoint longtime Historical Society volunteer Tony Parrott to the Fayette County Library Board, to fill an unexpired term that ends Dec. 31.
