Normally, having a pounding heart and the distinct feeling of claustrophobia at the mall is associated with last-minute holiday shopping and not something people would do for fun.
But this fall, people should have the opportunity to do just that when the live room escape game Paranoia Quest opens at the Mall of Georgia.
The 6,168-square-foot space will be next to the recently-opened Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, according to a release. The first location, colloquially referred to as Escape the Room, is located in downtown Atlanta.
Teams are expected to work together to crack codes, find clues and solve puzzles in a locked multi-room labyrinth designed to promote imagination, leadership, team work and fun, the release said.
The store is expected to open Nov. 1, according to the Mall of Georgia website.
ThinkGeek, the longstanding commerce website that caters to Trekkers (some fans say Trekkies is derogatory), Whovians and the technologically inclined, also plans to open its first brick-and-mortar storefront in Georgia at the mall.
