Emory Urban Health Initiative received a $10,000 grant from Woodard and Curran Foundation for expansion of the education outreach program at Super Giant Community Garden, located behind Super Giant Foods grocery store, 2176 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy.

The initiative educates underserved communities on rainwater capture, proper disposal of water, composting, and organic and natural gardening techniques.

The community garden is part of a planned “Health Hub” at the property that will also include a community kitchen and a free minute clinic.
