An elderly couple escaped injury early Tuesday when an armed robbing crew broke into their southwest Atlanta home.

Milton Seals, 80, told Channel 2 Action News that he was at his Lynhurst Drive home with his wife and 6-year-old grandson when seven men armed with at least one shotgun came in through a window.

The men demanded cash from the Army veteran, stealing $700 along with two jewelry boxes containing about $40,000 in valuables, Channel 2 reported.

The men also took a TV, but left it outside the house.

Police have not released a description of the suspects.
