Eight children and two adults were ejected from a moving vehicle Sunday in a one-car accident in Bryan County in South Georgia.

The GMC Yukon was traveling westbound on Interstate 16 when its rear tire blew out and caused the driver to lose control. The vehicle flipped four times and ejected everyone on board.

According to Bryan County officials, none of the 10 victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

According to the family, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old are in critical condition at Memorial University Medical Center and are scheduled for surgery. Two of the other children suffered broken necks, one has a broken leg and another has a back injury. Two of the victims were reportedly discharged from the hospital.

The children’s aunt, Katie Hendo, said the family is trying to have the children transferred to Atlanta.
