East Cobb road closures run through July 31
Two roads will be temporarily closed through July 31 at the intersection of Sewell Mill and Johnson Ferry roads.
A section of Sewell Mill Road from Johnson Ferry Road to Benthill Drive will close with access to area driveways maintained at all times. Then a section of Pine Road from Sewell Mill Road to Wandering Rose Lane will close - also with access to area driveways maintained at all times.
The two sections of road must be closed while construction crews relocate Pine Road, make a hill cut on Sewell Mill Road to improve sight distance and widen and add turn lanes at the Pine Road intersection.
Detour information for the project includes:
- Northeast traffic to access Sewell Mill Road: south on Johnson Ferry Road to west on Roswell Road/Ga. 120 to north on Old Canton Road to east on Sewell Mill Road.
- Northeast traffic to access Pine Road: south on Johnson Ferry Road to west on Roswell Road/Ga. 120 to north on Providence Road to Pine Road.
- Westbound traffic to access Sewell Mill Road/Johnson Ferry Road intersection: west on Sewell Mill Road to south on Old Canton Road to east on Roswell Road/Ga. 120 and north on Johnson Ferry Road.
- Westbound traffic to access Pine Road near Sewell Mill Road: east on Roswell Road/Ga. 120 to north on Providence Road to Pine Road.
