Advance voting is underway for two Nov. 7 elections planned in Forsyth County. The city of Cumming municipal election and the Georgia House District 26 special vote will continue through the Friday before the election.

Early voting for the Cumming mayor and council election is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 3. at Cumming City Hall, 100 Main St., Cumming.

Early voting for the District 26 seat will encompass all or parts of nine precincts and is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 3 and 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming. A second location is holding to a different schedule: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 3 at the Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road.

In the District 26 race, two Republicans and a Democrat are vying to replace former State Rep. Geoff Duncan, who resigned. In the municipal election, two candidates have filed in each of three races, for mayor and city council posts one and two.
