Early voting schedule amended in Henry County

The Stockbridge City Council voted Sept. 9 to approved an amended 2019 municipal election schedule after the county elections office approved a change to open up early voting in Stockbridge a week earlier than previously planned.

Early voting will now be available in McDonough (at the county elections office) and Stockbridge (at the Municipal Court Building) Oct. 14-18 and 21-25. The Stockbridge council authorized an additional cost of about $14,000 to allow the extra voting days. Early voting will be available Saturday, Oct. 26 at those two locations along with the Fairview Library, Locust Grove Library and Hampton’s Fortson Library.
