The city of Dunwoody announced last week a real-estate transaction with the DeKalb County Board of Education to build one of the city's schools.

Two public meetings are scheduled for city residents to give feedback on the project at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 25 at Dunwoody City Hall, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 103. The new Austin Elementary School will be built on the current baseball fields in Dunwoody Park, located at 5343 Roberts Drive. The city plans to work with the DeKalb County Board and the Dunwoody Nature Center to complete construction of the school by August 2019.
