Dear Dunwoody,

The police say to keep a special eye out for deer these days.

"Officers are beginning to see increased deer movement throughout the city of Dunwoody," the department said in a post on Facebook on Monday. "Every year officers work numerous accidents involving deer and other wildlife."

The agency shared tips to avoid the worst:

• Scan the road and shoulder ahead of you

• Be extra cautious at dawn and dusk

• Use high beams when possible

• If a collision is unavoidable, stay in your lane and press brakes firmly
