Part of Duluth’s Pavement Preservation program includes asphalt rejuvenation, a method of applying a penetrating sealer to pavement to replace ingredients that are lost over time due to exposure to sun and weather. Application of this treatment at the right time extends the service life of the road and helps reduce maintenance costs.
The Duluth City Council agreed to award an asphalt rejuvenation contract to single-bidder Pavement Technology for $129,213. Funds for this project will come from 2014 SPLOST.
