Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris presented her unique take on the annual state of the city address to a packed house Jan. 27. The evening began with a live music set before Mayor Harris discussed the city’s recent accomplishments, current projects and plans for the future.
Among the projects underway, or soon to be underway, Mayor Harris noted the upcoming new Duluth library branch groundbreaking, the SODO development on Buford Highway, the Encore development near the Chattahoochee River, the Rogers Bridge rehabilitation project, two future senior living communities, and the Courtyard by Marriott hotel and parking deck to be located near the city’s Festival Center.
Mayor Harris also reminded those in attendance of the reasons to support Gwinnett’s efforts to improve transit throughout the county.
