The Duluth City Council voted Monday to provide free office space for SCORE, a group of retired business executives who provide free mentoring to people starting new businesses. SCORE recently lost their downtown office space in the WorkSpot, after the owner’s lease expired.
The organization had asked to use space in Duluth’s frequently rented Festival Center. As an alternative, Duluth will offer a small, unused space just off council chambers to provide privacy when discussing financial information. Clients will visit SCORE about three to four hours per week by appointment during City Hall business hours only.
